I have declared war on my thoughts 

Yet its not my war

Its yours

This is your idea, your model

You’ve brought to my attention 

My bitterness, my resentment 

Festering with every hateful thought

Thoughts I hope will bring justification 

Imprison me  

I have been the unforgiving servant 

My past life hedged in your comfort 

But in this testing time

My new choice is war

I take captive these self righteous thoughts 

Overpowering them with screams for help
