I let go

I let go of my desire to change any situation, condition, person or myself.

I open to the love and presence of God and God’s action within

Today I am drowning. I feel my lack acutely. I desire to languish in my insufficiency. I want to not be me. 

I let go of my desire to change myself

I am holding tightly to the superstition that my technique and my forethought secure me the outcome that I feel I am owed.

I let go of my desire to change my situation

My heart is gripped with anxiety that I am not what the people I am responsible to and for, need in order for them to become the people they are created to be.

I let go of my desire to change any person

I know it is Jesus in me, not me in a different set of circumstances that is the way, the truth and the life, yet my heart can’t help but yearn for a day when things are easier.

I let go of my desire to change my conditions

God. You promise to be all I need. I have no option but to hold you to that. 

I open to the love and presence of God

My whole self aches for the day where you perfect my love.

I open to God’s action within
